When it comes to marketing, signs are a very important mode of marketing and have been in use for a very long time and are still in existence. However, this does not mean that an organization can put up its sign anywhere in the name of marketing. Lobby signage is a very good example when it comes to sign locations. Lobbies are used by so many people as they are normally one part of a building that allows one to the rest of the parts of a building. It is also important to note that putting up a sign in a lobby does not only market an organization but it also tells the public a lot about the organization.

For example; if you came across assign belonging to a certain organization; what will come to your mind is that maybe the organization is in the same building or rather, the services provided by the organization are relevant to some of the services available in the same building. This means that a company that chooses to apply putting up their signs in lobbies has so much more to gain.

The type of sign that an organization or a company chooses to put in a lobby matters a lot. The most important factor to look into when designing a lobby sign is how appealing it is to the eyes. Any company that knows the importance of marketing should know that no marketing strategy is effective if it does not attract the attention of the customers.

If you have been keen, most signs put up in lobbies have special and unique designs. One of the latest strategies that these signs have adopted is using glass backgrounds plus light. This creates a cool atmosphere and at the same time it attracts the attention of many people. The color combination used to decorate these signs should also be relevant to an organization.

There was a time when bill boards were very popular and on high demand and this made them to be costly. When it was discovered that lobbies could work as a place of putting up signs, they have leveled the high demand for billboards and the best thing s that using the lobby to advertise an organization serves a purpose similar to how good a bill board would reach out to the public at a lower cost.

As much as any organization can chose to put its sign in all the lobbies in the world, it is very important to note that a sign can only be relevant when placed in a location where it is most likely to be relevant. For example, it will make sense if a bank places its sign in a hospital lobby but it will be irrelevant for a university putting up its sign in a hospital lobby.

Advertising using these signs are one of the best ways an organization can market itself since it reaches out to the people who would find such a sign relevant to them.

As much as putting up signs in lobbies are a great marketing strategy, they are most likely to be used by so many organizations including competitors. This is one disadvantage that this great marketing strategy has but this is just a common problem in all marketing strategies. People should therefore consider all these so that they get the best out of these signs.
